Our Pastor | Vaughaligan Walwyn
Vaughaligan “Von Won” Walwyn, was born in St.Croix of the US Virgin Islands and raised on the Southeast side of Houston,TX. His ministry and music career has granted him opportunities to appear nationally on MTV, Daystar, and FOX news, as well as impacting local television and radio stations in the city of Houston.
As a successful multi sport athlete growing up, Von Won landed a full paid track & field scholarship to the prestigious Rice University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history and worked hard to become an NCAA All-American athlete leaping 26 feet and 1 inch in the long jump event. With that distance he broke the national record for the US Virgin Islands.
With 20 plus years in the music industry, Von Won has collaborated with Grammy award winning artists, and his "Grace Still Abides." album featuring Scarface, Bun B & Paul Wall debuted #27 on the Gospel Billboard Charts.
The Houston Chronicle listed him as a top 5 influential pastor in the city of Houston. Pastor Von has led chapel services for the Houston Texans, Texas A&M Aggies, Clemson Tigers and other schools and organizations. CJ Stroud said Pastor Von's words of inspiration helped his team get the win against Jacksonville in the 2024 season!
In his lifetime, Pastor Von Won has dealt with many challenges, but overcame his struggles to emerge as a voice of inspiration to many. He is a loving husband and proud father of 4 with a vision of spreading inspirational media and a message of hope worldwide.
